The browser extension

The Chrome extension saves the tab you are reading in one click. Save has Keepsake fetch the page, and Save this tab's copy sends the page as your tab shows it, so a page behind a sign-in or a paywall is archived as you see it.

Connect it

  1. Install the extension and open it from the toolbar.
  2. Choose Connect to Keepsake.
  3. A Keepsake window opens; if you are signed in, the extension is connected at once and the window closes.

Connecting gives the extension its own key, listed as Browser extension under Settings, then API tokens. Connecting again replaces that key rather than adding another.

Connect with a token instead

If the window cannot open, choose Paste a token instead, make a token under Settings, then API tokens, and paste it into the extension's options. Test connection checks that Keepsake accepts it.

Save a page

Open the extension on any page, add tags or a note if you like, and save. The bookmark appears in your library, archived from its address, or from your tab when you chose Save this tab's copy.

Disconnect it

Delete the Browser extension key under Settings, then API tokens, and the extension can no longer reach your library.
